A loving, welcoming church in downtown Newark with a heart for those in need.
I went there for 10 years, and only stopped because I moved out of the state, but still go when I'm in town. The service starts at 1030am so you can sleep in a little on sunday, and the music has both hymns and more contemporary music during worship, so there is a little something for everyone. The congregation is diverse (age and race) and very welcoming. Even as someone who was not very involved, I definitely miss my calvery family now that I've move away. Don't pass up on this church if your looking in the area, you'll be glad you visited. :-)
