My seven year old daughter and I love it here. This is where she chose to go for her birthday lunch and we weren't disappointed. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. The tinker bell tea is exactly what a princess-esque girl would love. The high tea is what I get every time with a salad (house dressing is very good), chicken salad tea sandwiches and turkey with cranberry and goat cheese are my favorites. Love the dessert tray and the scones with the clotted cream and lemon curd are so very yummy. Thanks British Bell Tea Room for another memorable experience!
Simply the best! Wonderful tea room with excellent service and selection. The scones, clotted cream, lemon curd, and tea sandwiches are not to be missed! I go with my family at least twice a year.
You are going to want to give this 5 Stars if you haven't experienced the tea house before it's worth doing at least once. The staff try very hard to deliver the experience and your appetite will thank you because the food is tasteful but yet simple. Your taste buds will be relaxing to absorbing the atmosphere of a cozy and social environment. However upon receiving the check and processing the transaction we felt entirely new and uninformed as to some fine print or questionable menu items. Keep in mind that some things on the menu count as a gift shop item. This could frustrate you if you purchase a gift certificate for friends or family. I would suggest you also to take cash as they were not able to add a tip for our servers on the check. It was indeed dining experience and interesting to see their business venture. Although we left there feeling a bit disappointed for ourselves and the serving staff due to our not knowing enough about the menu and understanding that they could only take cash tip. We felt bad. they really insist that you're out the door earlier than you would imagine. Another selling point for you might be the fact that they don't not offer evening hours. frustrating and chaotic if you work during the day and would like to make a reservation do not follow their website it is inaccurate you cannot reserve a table until 5 p.m. Rather 330 is the latest still take a reservation on ANY day. They are known for their scones and seem to have a reputation amongst the local audience. Lastly, be prepared to miscalculate your meal total. It might just be hearsay, but there is the possibility that you may be charged extra if you share any portion of your meal from what I heard. Almost like being offered the top dollar of a car purchase but then bartering to a lower price. Made me feel uneasy or a bit dumb about my math or shady to some. Our apologies to the establishment, we were not out by 5 and our hands were tied not seeing an ATM for cash to leave tip. Still not sure why it couldn't be added into the transaction. Try not look at the box almost empty, but instead almost full. Sorry. Could be two thumbs or 3 stars depending on the mood. It can be a place to relax and enjoy
Had an amazing time at the tea room for my daughter's birthday. The service, tea, and food were great. We will definitely be back and would love to use the private room next time!
Ambiance great! Tea selection excellent. High tea luncheon worth the trip. If you can find a coupon even better.
